Remember when you painted the guest room in that color you hoped would be blue, but instead turned out gray? I think all of the DIYers have done something very similar. We start painting in earnest, and then slowly start doubting the color choice. We press on, hoping that it will dry “darker, lighter, richer, better.” Only it doesn’t. But we’ve already committed all that time and money on a color we don’t love. So we leave it up. It’s time to admit the mistake and fix it. It’s okay; and you’ll feel better right away.
