San Diego Painting: Think Small This Season

Rachel Williams - Friday, November 15, 2013

From exterior painting to tree trimming, all the projects once at the top of your list tend to get pushed aside right around the holidays. (Unfortunately, that also means your list might get a little longer by the time the holiday hustle and bustle is through!)

So what’s a desperate property manager to do? Instead of trying to tackle those larger-than-life projects when both you (and your tenants) have so much going on, think small this season.

The Upside to Thinking Small

When the holidays start surrounding you on all sides, it can be hard to think of beginning a new commercial paint project. But what if you could start something simpler?

Here are a few good reasons to start small this season:

  • - Paint is visually stimulating and even the smallest change can make an impact. After all, when you repaint you’re not the only one who’ll notice! Clients as well as current and prospective tenants will view you and your property more favorably.

  • - Starting small allows you to break bigger projects into small, more manageable tasks. Every time you complete one of your “mini-projects” you’re that much closer to your final goal!

  • - A fresh look brings new perspective and helps to keep tenants happy. Whether tenants rent your property short-term or plan on sticking around for a while, paint adds a fresh look to any space.

  • - Small commercial paint projects are often more manageable and get done faster than bigger San Diego painting jobs.

Take on Mini-Projects

Just because you aren’t doing a full-on repaint, does not mean you can’t check off a few things on your list this season. In a sense, we want you to think big about thinking small!

What other painting projects has your retail center, warehouse or community association waited long enough to complete? Does the trim on your club house need repainting? What about the wrought iron fencing lining the property or surrounding your tenants' pool area?
